History

Delta Tau Delta fraternity was founded in 1858, by eight men at the campus of Bethany College in West Virginia. Since that time, the Delts have become one of the most active and dynamic fraternities in the United States, with its own history at UCLA dating back to 1926.

The current Delt Chapter at UCLA began as a colony in the fall of 2002 and was installed as a chapter on May 21, 2005, as a returning fraternity whose goal was to build an organization of leaders that would be academically sound, well-rounded, and representative of the student body at school. Combining our strong value system with an eye towards community involvement and lifelong loyalty, we ensure strong friendships, respect for one another, and getting the most out of our college experience through everything that we do.

Chapters and colonies of our Delta Tau Delta fraternity (also referred to as "The Delts") are found on over 118 campuses throughout the United States and Canada. More than 143,000 men have accepted the challenge to commit themselves to a higher standard of excellence.
